From the 14th until the 16th of June 2019, the art'pu:l Eupen presents contemporary, international art in the cultural centre Alter Schlachthof. Approximately 50 artists, local and international, show their works on a total area of around 2000 square meters. The historical buildings of the Alter Schlachthof, rebuilt as a regional centre for culture, offer a marvelous backdrop. The sprawling Wilhelminian style complex near the city centre served as Eupen's slaughterhouse until 1991. Its remodeling as a cultural centre was completed at the end of 2015. Eupen is located in the border triangle of eastern Belgium, not far from Liège, Aachen and Maastricht.
